This is the personal website and blog of Itamar Weiss. It exists to publish writing and interactive demos, not to collect data about you. This page explains, in plain language, what little data is involved when you read it.

What this site does not do

  • No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no login.
  • No forms. The site never asks you to enter personal information. Contact happens over plain email, at your initiative.
  • No advertising. There are no ad networks and no ad-tracking pixels, and I do not sell or share visitor data with anyone.
  • No newsletter database. Subscribing to the blog happens through the public RSS feed, which involves no registration with me.

What is collected

Hosting logs. The site is served by Vercel, which — like any web host — processes standard request data (IP address, requested URL, user agent) to deliver pages and keep the service secure. I use this only in aggregate, if at all.

Analytics. The site may use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate readership — which posts are read and roughly where visitors come from. This uses cookies set by Google. I look only at aggregate statistics and never attempt to identify individual visitors. You can block analytics with any standard content blocker, and the site works exactly the same without it.

Embedded content. Some blog posts embed third-party content, such as X (Twitter) posts. When a post contains such an embed, your browser loads it directly from the third party, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. Posts without embeds load nothing from those services.

Email

If you email me at weiss.itamar@gmail.com, I keep the correspondence in my mailbox like any personal email and use it only to reply to you.
